School Council
We have regular meetings with the other class representatives and a teacher. Ideas are welcomed from everyone and can be shared through the suggestion box or online.
Class Council Meetings
We have regular meetings in our class so that all children can share their ideas. Sometimes we have things to discuss from the School Council. Classes may raise issues to discuss which we then discuss at the next School Council Meeting. Our class teacher helps the Class Representative to chair the meeting so that everyone can have a voice.
How do Class Council Meetings work?
- Class representative leads the meeting with help from the class Teacher.
- The class agrees on the layout of the room (tables in a U shape, rows etc).
- Conventional Committee producers are used (agendas, hand up to speak (teacher helps to note the order of speakers), address the class representative as “Chair”, children stand up to speak etc).
